National Health Council
Acknowledgements
The National Health Council is a collegiate government board where Mexican health policies are formulated. It works on a democratic horizontal line under a shared federalism.
The Council consists of 32 health secretaries from state organizations, chair by the Federal Health Secretary and high federal civil employees participate like permanent assistants.
This board, which started in ther middle of the eighties, has been continuously met for at least 4 meetings per year.

Mission
To collaborate in achieving the council objectives, through the implementation of institutional coordinating mechanisms among federal and state levels to contribute on the performance of the National Health Program, the effective federalization of health services to non-social security population and the strengthening of the National and State Health Systems.
Vision
To establish as a support institution for a complete federalization and strengthening of the National Health System, through the coordination of the National Health Council actions for the approach and evaluation of the national politics and programs.
